More About Me & My Approach.
Do you find yourself wondering if you'll ever be able to let go of the past? Do you notice yourself repeating the same painful patterns in relationships, friendships, or work, even when you desperately want something different? Maybe you feel stuck between wanting to set boundaries with family and feeling guilty for doing so.
I'm Alyssia: EMDR trained therapist, espresso fiend, and a life long learner.
At the end of the day, I love connecting with people. My goal is for you to feel genuinely understood, not judged, not rushed, and never like you have to earn your place here.
I've worn a lot of different hats throughout my career, including Clinical Director, University Instructor, Facilitator, and Clinical Supervisor, but the heart of my work has always been the same: helping people heal from childhood attachment wounds, complex trauma, and intergenerational patterns.
My approach integrates: EMDR Therapy, Internal Family Systems, somatic approaches, and attachment and trauma-aware care to help you move out of survival mode.
Together, we’ll work toward building a healthier relationship with yourself and others.
I am committed to providing ethical, culturally responsive, and affirming care for people of all identities, backgrounds, and lived experiences. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, reconnect with your strengths, and create lasting change. I offer in-person therapy in downtown Vancouver, Washington, just across the bridge from Portland, OR, and virtual therapy for clients throughout Oregon, Washington, and Indiana.
