Individual sessions are 53 minutes. Offered in-person in Vancouver, WA just across the bridge from Portland. Virtual therapy offered for residents of Washington, Oregon, and Indiana.
My approach incorporates various techniques, but individual treatment is always trauma-focused therapy designed to help you heal from the past, break intergenerational patterns, and cultivate compassion for self and others.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of therapy specifically for designed to help people recover from PTSD, in addition to a variety of other past traumatic events. This form of treatment is widely considered one of the most effective forms of trauma treatment. I am trained through the EMDR International Association and have found this to be an incredibly effective tool for help people break free from their past.
The length of treatment through use of EMDR varies, but includes 8 distinct phases of treatment. The first phase (Preparation) includes helping clients develop the coping tools needed. The second phase (Assessment) includes identifying the target memories, beliefs, and feelings holding someone back from living in the present. The third phase (Desensitization) is the stage of treatment folks most commonly associate with “EMDR” - This phase of therapy uses bilateral stimulation (e.g., side to side eye movements, tapping, or sound) to focus and reprocess cognitive and bodily responses to the focused memory system until they are no longer distressing. The next steps following desensitization (Installation, Body Scan, Closure) work toward identifying healthier ways of viewing the self or the world and ensuring all parts of the self are in alignment with this new experience. Finally, (Reevaluation) involves “checking our work” later to make sure we didn’t miss anything!
For a more information and resources about this process, emdria.org is an excellent resource. If you think you’d be a good candidate for EMDR, let’s talk!

Couples sessions are 53 minutes. I have periodic, but limited availability, open for couples appointments.
My approach integrates Gottman and trauma-informed approaches to relational work to help you feel more deeply connected and grounded. My approach includes an initial assessment for the couple, followed by individual assessments to explore family history, and focused couples appointments.

Clinical supervision is a space to build confidence, deepen your clinical skills, and develop an authentic sense of self as a therapist. Whether you're working toward licensure, or just looking for a space to grow as a therapist, I offer thoughtful, collaborative supervision grounded in trauma-informed, ethical, and culturally responsive practice with a down-to-earth vibe.
In my experiences of being a clinical director, clinical supervisor, and working at a university, I have supervised and mentored clinicians at every stage of development, supporting them in building confidence, strengthening clinical decision-making, and navigating complex cases. My goal is to help you become not just a competent therapist, but a grounded, confident clinician who practices in a way that feels rewarding and authentic to you.

Deep work for deep results - Extended sessions (2-3 hour appointments) ensure ample time for use of trauma focused protocols, such as EMDR, to work toward fully processing through traumatic or adverse experiences. Extended sessions allow for focused processing and can facilitate improved integration time. If interested, let me know and we can talk through the benefits and limitations of this approach for your specific needs.
